CHELSEA TOWN HOUSE
This charming Chelsea garden is on two levels, with a Wychwood Limestone terrace leading into graceful steps designed to link the basement kitchen to the raised garden, with continuation of the limestone throughout. The circular motif in the brick paving is particularly heavenly when viewed from the upper rear windows of the house, with the eye leading to the lead cistern water feature. The sound of the water creates an oasis of calm and the multi-stemmed Pittosporum tobira trees provide evergreen interest by day and night.
The sunny Roof Terrace was laid with bamboo decking. Bespoke metal planters surround the perimeter, planted with Amelanchier lamarckii trees, Pittosporum tobira ‘Nanum’ and a delicate palette of pink perennials. Furniture was sourced for a comfy family seating area.
